What to look for in a candle shop in Nashville

  • Check that scents use quality fragrance or essential oils and aren't overpowering unlit.

  • Ask about burn time and wick type; a cotton or wood wick and a full wax pool matter.
  • For gifts, ask about gift sets, custom scents, and local pickup near Nashville.

What is the best type of candle wax?

Soy, coconut, and beeswax burn cleaner and longer than paraffin and hold scent well. Many Nashville makers use them, so ask what a shop pours.

Why is my candle tunneling or burning too fast?

It is usually a wick or wax-pool issue. Trim the wick to about a quarter inch and let the first burn melt the top edge to edge. A good shop can recommend the right size.
