Frequently asked questions

How much do handmade candles cost in Athens-Clarke County?

What is the best type of candle wax?

Soy, coconut, and beeswax burn cleaner and longer than paraffin and hold scent well. Many Athens-Clarke County makers use them, so ask what a shop pours.

Why is my candle tunneling or burning too fast?

It is usually a wick or wax-pool issue. Trim the wick to about a quarter inch and let the first burn melt the top edge to edge. A good shop can recommend the right size.
